Inadequacies

Girls like to complain. A lot. We moan about our thighs, hair, nose, eyelashes, pinkies. I could go on forever, and that's just the physical stuff. We complain about our boyfriends - current, ex and that we can't get any. Our parents, good God, do we complain about our parents. Our siblings, grandparents - relatives of all shapes and sizes. Friends. Neighbours. Countrymen.

I get it. We complain about everything.

What really irks me is when people who complain about things that are going well for them! Gosh, I'm so thin I need to gain weight. I wish guys would stop hitting on me. People need to stop texting me, I have to keep deleting them, my phone can only hold 1000.

The irony just struck me. I'm complaining about complaining. Brilliant.

I've been reading a lot more blogs than usual because of BEDA, and one of them is Hayley's.
Hayley also happens to be first video I watched at the start of the fiveawesomegirls vlogging project, since that was the one Hank posted on the Ning. [Holy hyperlink Batman] I instantly fell in love with her. She was funny, quirky, adorable. Lets face it, we like watching attractive people. Cosmetic surgery isn't a multi-billion dollar industry because of all the good it does.

In reading Hayley's blog, I've noticed she's often down on her self. And I've yet to figure out why. What baffles me further is that her family sometimes pulls her down just a little more. I'd kill to be Hayley. Be able to sing, have her wit, her looks, her smarts, heck, I'd even take the multitude of friends she has. Or possibly everyone's life looks brighter in comparison to my dismal one. Notwithstanding, Hayley's is still really good. But I digress, she's down on her looks not the other stuff. I could break down all the things that make her so very pretty but I'm afraid I'll come off as absurdly creepy (more so than I have so far!) and my girl crush might be misconstrued for a romantic one!

While she is perfectly entitled to complain about whatever she wants to complain about, she need not. But I guess that's the way the cookie crumbles. You hate what you hate, and even though you really don't want to to, you hate it anyway.

Don't know how many more I'll write before the months out. Not that it matters. Not that anyone reads these!

BIDA (the illegitimate child of BEDA)

BEDA a.k.a Blog Every Day April is the brainchild of Maureen Johnson, author extraordinaire. I however, am not much of a writer, I actually don't enjoy writing. I sometimes whine in written words instead of just whining in my head. which is how this blog came to be.

Since I don't quite enjoy writing, am not very good at it and don't care to share all the little thoughts in my head, blogging every day in April isn't really my thing. What is my thing is jumping on bandwagons. I adore bandwagons. My knowledge of any sport is grossly limited, but put me in a room with a bunch of sports fans, I will root, whoop and cheer my heart out just to get in on the fanfare. And so, BIDA was born. BIDA is Blog Infrequently During April. Considering my last post was sometime mid-September, blogging infrequently would really be a positive step.

So here's to a few more blogs and whining on the Internet!
